What Zodiac Sign Is the Page of Pentacles?

The Page of Pentacles represents a young, feminine energy who is eager to begin their journey to success. If you weren’t aware already, every Tarot card is associated with either a planet or a zodiac sign. While most Tarot cards are only associated with one of these things, the “Pages” are the only cards that encompass entire elements.

Why? Read on to learn more about why this is and what the Page of Pentacles means.

Zodiac Sign: Earth Signs

All the “Pages” in the Tarot deck symbolize entire elements: air, fire, water, and earth. Since Pentacles are associated with earth signs, the Page of Pentacles represents all earth signs: Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo.

The reason for this is, first and foremost, the fact that there are only three modalities (cardinal, fixed, mutable), and four court cards (Page, Knight, Queen, King). The “Knights” represent all mutable signs, the “Queens” represent all cardinal signs, and the “Kings” represent all fixed signs. So, where does that leave Pages? With the entire element, of course!

It makes sense… since the Page comes before the rest of the hierarchy, it acts as an “introduction” to the whole system. Pages are also indicative of new beginnings and feeling the fullest potential of something. So, they are much more general than, say, Knights.

Meaning

Upright

The Page of Pentacles can symbolize someone who is very eager and, again, full of potential in regards to the “Pentacle things” such as home, career, finances, and family.

So, this card might appear in an upright position when you’re starting a new project around one of these topics. It’s also important to remember that Pages are young and naive… so, anything it touches will resemble something new for the querent. An example of this might be buying a house for the first time or starting a job in a brand-new industry. (If you’re in that position, try out this career reading!)

The Page of Pentacles in an upright position is always a good omen because it shows great potential and growth movement. Anything this person puts their mind to, they will accomplish!

If we relate this information to all the earth signs, it actually makes a lot of sense. Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo are all very focused on production. When these signs want to get something done, they will get it done. So, it makes sense that the Page of potential falls under the categories of material gain: home, career, finances, etc. It shows that these signs have the potential to succeed in those material ways.

If we think about this in terms of the other Pages, the Page of Wands—for example—this card brings potential to all “Wands things,” such as creativity, ideas, passion, and art. So, they don’t produce in material ways; they produce in imaginative ways.

Reversed

On the flip side of that, a reversed Page of Pentacles can represent a time when someone can take this diligence a little too far. We all know that Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo have a tendency to overwork in certain areas. That’s what we see in the Page of Pentacles when upside down.

Additionally, this card in a reversed position can imply “playing it safe” and not taking the risks needed to succeed. This can be seen in all the earth signs as well, as they are so detail-oriented and calculating.

Not only does this imply risk-averse action, but it can also suggest procrastination. Often, earth signs want to make sure they are doing everything right. They fall in line. They follow the rules. But because they can be so focused on planning their takeover, they may find it hard to actually take the leap and start
